Susanmarie Harrington
Susanmarie Harrington is the Director of Writing in the Disciplines at the University of Vermont, where she is working with colleagues across campus on initiatives designed to make writing a significant part of every student's academic experience. Previously, she was Chair, and Director of Writing, in the IU School of Liberal Arts at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. Her scholarly research addresses writing program administration and writing assessment. She is the author of Basic Writing as a Political Act (Hampton Press) and editor of The Outcomes Book: Consensus and Debate in the Wake of the Council of Writing Program Administrators' Outcomes Statement (Utah State UP) and Questioning Authority: Stories Told in School about the Essay (University of Michigan Press).
