The Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan has long been recognized as one of the top English departments in the nation. MFA alumna Nami Mun has been awarded a 2009 Whiting Writers' Award.
Say You're One of Them by Uwem Akpan, MFA '06, is the first short story collection to be selected for Oprah's Book Club.
We were saddened to learn that Emeritus Professor Robert T. Lenaghan passed away on October 2nd.
