This informal panel discussion from 12-1:30 will consider different disciplinary perspectives on the idea of comparison, in response to articles published in the special issue on "Comparison" in New Literary History (2009). Panelists include UM Professors Charlie Bright (History), Geoff Eley (History), June Howard (English and American Culture), Webb Keane (Anthropology), Vassilis Lambropoulos (Classical Studies and Comparative Literature), Yopie Prins (English and Comparative Literature), Xiaobing Tang (Asian Languages and Cultures and Comparative Literature).  Sponsored by the Department of Comparative Literature's 2010-2011 "Year of Comparison."
