Teaching Lecture Courses: Reflections on the Experience with Anne Curzan, Julian Levinson, and Terri Tinkle As we teach larger lecture classes, we discover how they are and are not like smaller seminar-type classes. Many—perhaps even most—teaching strategies work in large classes much as they do in small classes. Scale does make a difference to administering a course, however, and the roles of GSIs require thoughtful attention as we plan and conduct sectioned courses. Please join us as we reflect on the challenges and opportunities of larger courses, and as we seek to learn from the experiences of colleagues.
Bring a brown bag lunch if you like.
