Animal Representation Conference (Feb. 8 & 9)
Please join the Rackham Interdisciplinary Animal Studies Interest Group . for a conference on Animal Representation on February 8 & 9, 2013, held at Rackham. The conference begins on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. with a keynote by Nigel Rothfels. Nigel will be presenting part of his larger research on the relationship between keepers, elephants, and the zoo facility in American zoos, and addressing the weight of metaphor in such relationships. A reception will follow Nigel's keynote from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m.
A full day of panels (two concurrent streams) will follow on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. Please refer to our website for the conference schedule.
