Primary Interests

Late-20th-century U.S. women’s novels; feminist theory, gender studies; trauma and memory, neuroscience of traumatic memory, cultural history of trauma studies and brain studies, the materiality of subjectivity

Secondary Interests

African American literature; African literature, particularly Swahili; masculinity studies; language and identity, the relationship of literature to politics
