CASTING TRADITION: EXHIBITION OPENING CELEBRATION
Friday, September 5 from 4-5 pm
There will be a celebratory public reception for Casting Tradition: Contemporary Brassworking in Ghana on September 5, from 4-6 pm. in the Exhibit Museum of Natural History. The exhibition opened in August in the Exhibit Museum’s newly renovated gallery on the 4th floor. This exhibition is an international collaboration presenting the evolving tradition of lost-wax brasscasting in Ghana through objects, photos, and multimedia displays.
The exhibition will be on display through May 2009.

Recorded narration by Liam Neeson. Features striking, immersive animations of the formation of the early universe, star birth and death, the collision of giant galaxies, and a simulated flight to a supermassive black hole.
