Professional Development Courses Paid by LSA
PREAPPROVED COURES COVERED BY THE
LSA HR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT BUDGET
LSA HR maintains a professional development budget for non-instructional staff in the Career Family Classification System. The intent behind this budget is to provide employees with access to development that is most essential for job performance. With approval from the unit key administrator and direct supervisor (if different than the key administrator), the Dean’s Office will cover the cost for employees to attend certain professional development opportunities. A list of courses that do not require additional approval from LSA HR appears below.
Key administrators are responsible for assuring that their department avoids overusing access to limited professional development resources. For additional guidance, see the LSA Professional Development Philosophy on the LSA HR website.
