Spotlight on Instruction
LSA Instructional Support Services assists faculty from a variety of disciplines as they implement instructional technology in their courses. While some of these efforts are recognized in a particular department or at a special event such as an Enriching Scholarship session, many of the very good ideas that are developed to enhance student learning are unknown by the rest of the College. The Faculty Spotlight on Instruction has been developed as a way to provide visibility and recognition for model uses of instructional technology in the College.

Past Spotlights
Our inaugural Faculty Spotlight featured Dr. Brenda Gunderson of the Department of Statistics. In the Spotlight, Dr. Gunderson discusses the various ways she uses instructional technology to provide enhanced learning opportunities for her students in Statistics 350 via 5 short videos, each 1-4 minutes in length. Visit the Spotlight to see Dr. Gunderson’s use of digital ink, interactive lecture notes, the Qwizdom student response system in lecture and in lab, and the creation of online pre-lab lessons. Dr. Gunderson is very thoughtful and deliberate in the ways she chooses to use instructional technology, making her an excellent example of the ways one can expand and enhance learning opportunities for students
