LSA faculty, staff and UM students enrolled in LSA courses may check out a wide variety of professional and semi-professional equipment for short-term loan.  Training and support in the use of any of our equipment is available from our knowledgeable checkout center staff.  In some cases where equipment is complex or specialized, the Media Center provides free in-depth workshops.

The following is a partial list of equipment available at the Media Center's loan room:

• High Definition video cameras with tapeless Direct To Edit (DTE) recording systems
• High Definition video cameras in both professional and semi-professional kits
• Portable video editing systems
• Digital SLR photographic cameras
• Lighting kits specialized for video production
• Wide array of digital audio recorders and analog-to-digital converters
• Professional handheld, wireless, shotgun and digital microphones

Questions and training requests can also be emailed to lsa-iss-media@umich.edu.  Please note: The Media Center does not accept equipment reservations via email or voicemail. Check in/out procedures take anywhere from 10-30 minutes. Please allocate enough time when scheduling a visit with us.
