LSA Faculty and Instructional Staff Esrold A. Nurse, Assistant Dean February 22, 2005 Online Progress Reports |
As we introduced last year, there is a new and improved electronic process for reporting about students experiencing academic difficulty in your class. This new process replaces the paper version of the Progress Report, which had been in use by the Advising Center for many years.
Easy to do: Click on http://www.lsa.umich.edu/facstaff/saa/, then on LSA Undergraduate Student Progress Report (the second link), and follow the directions.
We are requesting that you fill in the student data, which is easily accessible through your Class Roster on Wolverine Access, and check the appropriate boxes. There is also space for your comments. Please note that when the form is submitted to us, the student will receive a copy simultaneously. The student’s advisor will also receive a copy for follow-up purposes.
We think this improvement will allow us to respond more promptly to students experiencing academic difficulty. For your information the deadline to drop courses for this term is March 18, 2005.
Thanks in advance for your attention to this matter. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
