Final Two Sites Migrate From Previous Version
By Matthew J. Adams
May 30, 2012
With great enthusiasm and celebration, the LSA Development, Marketing and Communications Web Services team is pleased to announce that the final two sites have migrated from the previous version of the OpenText Content Management System!
In partnership with Student Academic Affairs, Dean Esrold Nurse, Phil Gorman, and Rick Jones, Web Services has launched
- Newnan Academic Advising Center: The online resources center from the advising team dedicated to fostering the personal, ethical, and intellectual growth of students by helping them develop their academic and professional goals.
- Students: The newest iteration of the College-wide site where current and future students can gather information about scholarships, LSA programs, and extracurricular offerings. A new, searchable Academics & Requirements page replaces the LSA Bulletin, bringing critical information closer to undergraduates.
With the launch of these two sites, the previous version of the CMS has been deactivated. While this may be the conclusion of one era in website management for the College, the Web Services Team looks forward to the next phase of CMS implementation focusing on the remaining LSA sites who wish to join the family of nearly 95 sites managed by the most current version of the software as well as refining existing and developing new applications for the CMS.
We are continually dedicated to delivering the premium content of the University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts-afilliated departments and units in a sophisticated, yet simple manner with as few obstacles as possible for both editor and audience.
