Fields of Study
Professor Rea is a geological oceanographer whose interests are in the sedimentary history and tectonic evolution of ocean basins, and in the paleoclimatic records found in large lakes. His research is in the fields of paleoceanography, paleoclimatology, and paleolimnology, all in an effort to understand the history and process of global climate change, including the history of atmospheric circulation, on a variety of timescales.
