Recruiting Schedule for Fall 2009:
Graduate students should contact Anne Hudon in the Department office about signing up for interview times.

 

September 14-15
Shell
: José Bravo, Bret Peppard & Steven Ownby
Presentations and informal meetings with students. (Interviews September 28-29.)

Monday 4:00pm, 2520 CC Little: Shell will host an info session for students about Shell and the interview process.

Tuesday 10:00am, 2520 CC Little: Technical talk by José Bravo, Chief Scientist.
Focus on Sustainable Fuels — Fuels in the future will come from many sources and will be very diverse. How is Shell addressing this challenge through technology and R&D, and what are the roles of scientists in these developments?

 

September 23-25
BP
: Adam Collins, Walter Guidroz, Andrea Cicero, & Bob Klein

Wednesday 5:30pm in 2520 CCL: Company overview/discussions.

Interviews in 3504 CCL all day Thursday and Friday, September 24-25.

BP will be interviewing for intern and permanent full-time geoscience positions. BP extends this interview invitation to all applicants who are currently enrolled in or accepted to geoscience graduate programs in the United States (including non-US citizens who have a valid F1 visa that can be converted to an H1B visa). Students should submit a résumé and schedule an interview with Anne Hudon by September 10. All applicants must register online on the BP web site to be considered for an interview.

Monday 12:00 noon, 2520 CC Little:  Steve Glass, Geologist, Retired.
Careers in the Oil and Gas Industry from a 30 year Veteran — Have you ever thought about a career in the oil and gas industry? What does a Geologist do for an oil company? What type of opportunities are available?

Interviews in 3504 CCL all day September 28-29. Steven Ownby and Katy Keller will be conducting the interviews.

Shell is interviewing graduate students for both intern and full-time positions. Ideal candidates will have proven leadership skills and strong work/internship experience. Students should apply through www.shell.com/careers, and must attach a completed application, an updated copy of their résumé, and an unofficial copy of their transcripts prior to the interview.
