For
these assignments, you should spend 50-55 minutes reading
something scientific in German for fun (e.g. check out some of the links on the Scientific German homepage which we looked at in the LRC), or one
of the online scientific
sites on the link list). Then you should spend 5-10
minutes writing about what you wrote (ideally as the character
you've chosen for your essays). This can be a summary,
your opinion, questions you have about what you read, or ideally
something of each. You should attach a printout of
the article you read to your journal. You may be
able to use parts of your free reading journals in future
essays!
