Student Leadership

The Resident Advisors, Programming Board, Peer Facilitators and Advisory Council all share responsibility for keeping the GSP community engaged and cohesive.  Peer leadership is a core component of the Global Scholars Program’s living-learning community. As a program, we provide peer leadership opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills so that they may be better prepared for leadership opportunities elsewhere on campus and beyond graduation. Developing leadership skills in a safe space with a globally diverse community of students will help GSP students to become innovative leaders who can effectively promote positive social change on a global level.

Peer Facilitators

Peer Facilitators are GSP students returning for a 2nd year. They will facilitate Collaborative Group conversations, workshop series, film discussions and more!

Resident Advisors

Your Resident Advisor (RA) lives in North Quad (NQ) and is a live-in resource to you. The four GSP RAs will be working to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for everyone.  They serve as a resource for any residential, academic, GSP, and overall life questions that arise. They strive to cultivate a GSP community and ensure a memorable living-learning experience in the Global Scholars Program.

Student Advisory Council

Advisory Council members are GSP students returning for a 3rd year. They help to advise the program on vision and direction; in addition, they will provide leadership regarding service and travel.  The Advisory Council is guided by the executive board, a five-member cabinet of 3rd year GSP students who were elected to their leadership positions by their peers.
