GSP Symposium

End of Year Symposium

The Global Scholars students have been working all year in their Collaborative Groups on Research Action Projects, examining local or global social justice issues. By reflecting on this year’s theme, they have identified unique research questions, explored existing literature on these topics, written literature reviews, conducted their own action (i.e., survey dissemination and analysis, service learning engagement, event hosting), and written more about these action methodologies and findings. This Symposium is an opportunity for the 14 Collaborative Groups within GSP to present on their research questions and findings as well as what they learned through this yearlong group process.

The Symposium will include:

  • A keynote from GSP Alum, Tanya Zora (Media Coordinator for CBS Television Network). For more information about Tanya, click here
  • Reflections from GSP student leadership on their year’s accomplishments
  • Formal presentations by each of the 14 GSP Collaborative Groups on their Research Action Project
  • Certificate conferral to GSP students and acknowledgement of the GSP graduating class

The attire for this event is business casual or cultural dress.
