Research interests
My research is focused on monographs of genera of Malpighiaceae (Galphimia, Hiraea, Peixotoa, Pterandra, Stigmaphyllon, Thryallis). I have also participated in a floristic inventory of the vascular flora of Mount Kinabalu, Borneo, a project directed by John H. Beaman.
I edit the series Systematic Botany Monographs for the American Society of Plant Taxonomists, as well as publications of the University of Michigan Herbarium, in particular the journal Contributions from the University of Michigan Herbarium.
