Chasmanthium latifolium
Northern Sea-Oats
This very striking woodland grass is one of the rarest species in Michigan, having being found in only one woodland area along a river in the southernmost part of the state. It is more common to the south, but fortunately, has become a favorite ornamental species in gardens.
