Antje K. Gamble received her BA at the University of Wisconsin and her MA School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her dissertation,“National and International Modernism in Italian Sculpture from 1939-1959,” sheds light on Fascist Era sculptural themes and their translation into the post-WWII modernist sculpture within regional, national, and international contexts. She has recently presented papers at the Association of Art Historians conference in 2013 and the Midwest Art History Society conference in 2012 and will present a paper on Marini's place in the Cultural Cold War for the American Association of Italian Studies in Zurich, CH this coming May. Currently, she is the Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Fellow in History of Art at the U-M Museum of Art and is working on a exhibition of World War One posters.
