Pamela Stewart is working to complete her dissertation, "Imagining the Body of Christ: Devotion to the Passion in Milanese Confraternities, 1500-1625," which focuses on Milanese religious art and confraternal piety during the sixteenth century. Her fieldwork in Milan was funded by the Renaissance Society of America, the Rackham International Research Award, and the Medieval Studies Prize from the Department of the History of Art. She is spending this year in Ann Arbor as a Rackham Predoctoral Fellow. Pamela has presented her research at the Sixteenth Century Society Conference and will have an article included in an anthology on sacred space to be published later this year by Ashgate.
