Arts in Paris Program
Arts in Paris is a unique international study opportunity jointly sponsored by the Center for Global and Intercultural Study, the History of Art Department and the School of Art & Design. The program promises students in-depth exposure to Parisian life through home stays with local families, French language instruction, site visits, and Paris-specific courses taught by U-M history of art and art & design faculty.
Courses and Credits
All students take a French language course at their language level (6 credits), and the program core course, Paris By Site (3 credits). Students will also choose two or three additional 3-credit content courses in history of art and/or art & design from the semester offerings for a total of 15 or 18 Michigan credits per term. (Content courses are in English; Language courses in French.)
Winter 2012 Course Descriptions
Please Note: Art & Design students must take both art & design courses, but may elect to enroll in an additional history of art course. History of art majors or minors must take both history of art classes, but may elect to enroll in an additional art & design course. Students who are neither art & design nor history of art may take any combination of content courses.
