Outstanding Graduate Student
Instructor Award

Congratulations to Millington Bergeson-Lockwood and Rebekah Pite, recipients of the Rackham Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award for 2007-08. A small number of awards are made across the campus each year. Winners are selected for their exceptional ability and creativity as teachers, service as outstanding mentors and advisors to their students and colleagues, and growth as scholars in the course of their graduate programs.

Distinguished Dissertation Award

Rackham Graduate School and the Michigan Society of Fellows recognizes exceptional and unusually interesting work produced by doctoral students. Marti Lybeck, Ph.D. recipient in December 2007, is one of eight doctoral students to be awarded the 2007 Distinguished Dissertation Award. Her dissertation is entitled "Gender, Sexuality and Belonging: Female Homosexuality in Germany, 1890-1933." Congratulations Marti!

Miscellaneous Awards

Marti Lybeck was also awarded the 2007 Arthur Fondiler Dissertation Award in History. Her dissertation co-Chairs are Kathleen Canning and Geoff Eley. Congratulations Marti!
