These materials are available for research and teaching use at the University of Michigan ONLY.

The collection holds no rights to duplicate materials or to distribute off-campus. Researchers may view the collection on-site but will be referred to other rights-holders to obtain copies.
Many individual titles on this list are subject to additional specific legal restrictions on use. Legal arrangements for rights to include several listed titles in the collection are still pending. No film will be available for inclusion in the collection until receipt of all necessary authorization.
In a few cases in which preparation of a new viewing copy from the master may be necessary, it may be necessary to charge user the cost.
Descriptions in this list are selected key-words based on the main subjects of the films. Detailed shot lists are not available.
The collection includes written documentation for many films. Much of this material is available for on-site research. Prof. Pernick will also prepare research reports based on this documentation for a consultation fee.
Use of the collection is by appointment only and requires several weeks notice. To arrange a research visit or for further information contact:
