Tiggy graduted from Georgetown University in 2010 with an A.B. in history and classics. Her senior honors thesis, Educating Christianity: A Look at St. Basil's "Address to Young Men," as well as a smaller project for which she won Georgetown's McKay medal, Befriending Christ: The Redefinition of Amicitia in Paulinus of Nola's Carmen XI both explored the ways in which aristocratic cultural tropes informed contemporary Christian practices. Her current academic interests include cultural and social history of the elite in Late Antiquity, particularly as it concerns Christianity and the formation of Christian rituals, practices, and beliefs.
