Paul Theroux, fiction and travel writer, will deliver a lecture following the announcement of the Graduate and Undergraduate Hopwood Awards in the Rackham Amphitheatre at 3:30. He is the author of 32 novel and short story collections, beginning with The Great Railway Bazaar. His most recent novel is The Lower River (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2012). He is also the author of 17 nonfiction books, most recently The Last Train to Zona Verde: My Ultimate African Safari (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2013). Several of his books have been made into feature films (Saint Jack, The Mosquito Coast).
