Advising

HSSP pre-health advising will help you explore options and make good choices about courses, utilizing resources, making contacts, and developing a career plan. HSSP students receive personalized pre-health advising to complement the regular academic advising in their home unit (LSA, Engineering, Nursing, Kinesiology, or Music).

Through individual advising appointments you will:

  • Explore academic and career goals
  • Understand prerequisites, requirements, and expectations of pre-health and health professional academic programs and careers
  • Identify appropriate internship, volunteer, and research opportunities
  • Receive guidance to valuable resources you can use on your pre-health journey
  • Supplement information you receive from other advising professionals (LSA, Nursing, Engineering, Kinesiology, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Public Health, Social Work, LSA Honors, and the Comprehensive Studies Program)
