The Health Sciences Scholars Program (HSSP) started in Fall 2001 as a collaboration of UM schools that enroll a significant number of undergraduate students in the pre-health fields (including LSA, Engineering, Nursing, Kinesiology, and the College of Pharmacy) and UM graduate health schools (including Dentistry, Information, Medicine, Public Health, and Social Work), along with University Housing's Residence Education.
HSSP introduces students to key issues and the breadth of careers in the health sciences by bringing together students and faculty from a broad array of backgrounds, interests, and experiences, and sponsoring special events and programs.
Participation in HSSP provides students with a deeper understanding of the many facets of study available to students interested in the health sciences, connects you to valuable resources that help you define your pre-health journey, and allows participants to share perspectives and learn from one another in a small, intimate, living/learning environment.
