Amanda Krugliak, artist, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Detailed Information
Exhibition dates: July 6 – August 31, 2004
Gallery hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00-5:00 pm

Artist Amanda Krugliak’s abstract paintings are otherworldly. They are rhythmic notations of a secret language, markings of hidden life, recordings of strange yet familiar conversations. Each network of line reveals an origin. Painting into drawing and drawing into painting reads like a map of doing and undoing. We are left with urgent yet simple scrawlings, and the passage of time. All else descriptive or narrative seems to fall away. Open space itself is a continuation of gesture. These works stay, like visual utterances and echoes out of this world.
