Detailed Information Filmmaker Peter Davis presents production stills and actual film images from the 1927 silent film, Siliva the Zulu, the first film to be made with an all-Black cast in sub-Saharan Africa. Never before shown in the United States, the exhibition also includes rare Zulu portraits by Italian ethnographer Lidio Cipriani, a crew member of the original Siliva film expedition.
