Detailed Information
This will be a talk about the aesthetics—and the politics—of conspicuous destruction in literature and the visual arts. What kind of afterglow remains after the twentieth and twenty-first century’s cascades of loss?

Patricia Yaeger is Henry Simmons Frieze Collegiate Professor, Professor of English Language and Literature and Professor of Women's Studies. Last year she was in residence at the Institute for the Humanities as the A. Bartlett Giamatti Faculty Fellow.
