Tall Horse, under escort of the University Musical Society, spent part of October at the Power Center, exciting wonder in children of all ages. In this talk, key members of the South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company and the Sogolon Troupe of Mali, tell us how history, craft, ingenuity, and showmanship turned the true story of a giraffe’s trip up the Nile, across the Mediterranean to Marseilles, and on to nineteenth-century Paris into a dazzling theatrical spectacle.
