Fellows

Currently the Institute has resources for eight Faculty and five Graduate Student Fellows to take up residence each year, along with five to seven visiting artists and scholars who come for shorter stays.

The Institute gives them time, space and support to advance their research and writing.  At the same time we urge them to challenge and learn from each other's methodologies and assumptions.  The formal arena for such interaction is the Fellows' Seminar, but the entire Institute is itself a space for conversations that equally meaningful, if more casual.

Application criteria and materials are available at http://www.lsa.umich.edu/humin/fellowshipsgrants/fellowships/
