Dr. Prakash is a Professor in the Department of EECS at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1989, his MS degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1984, and his B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi in 1982. His research interests include security and privacy, computer-supported cooperative work, grid computing, and location-aware computing. He is a member of the IEEE and ACM. Committee of the Center for Computational Medicine and Biology.
