Professor Shedden, chair of the Informatics Steering Committee, is a recipient of the 2011 John Dewey Award. Recipients of the John Dewey Award are selected by the College of Literature, Science and the Arts Executive Committee and are committed to the education of undergraduate students are also being recommended for promotion from Associate to Full Professor.
Professor Shedden will officially be presented his award in the fall at the first LS&A faculty meeting.
