Teams participating in the first Data Mining Competition sponsored by Yahoo! and the University of Michigan were given a data set from Yahoo! Music, they analyzed the data and submitted projects which were due April 11.
First prize went to:
Ben Charoenwong and Annalyn Ng for their report "A Play with Genre".
Second prize went to:
Brian Ford and Sharon Lee for their "Yahoo Data Mining Visualization" web application.
