Helping Create LSA's Best Teaching and Learning Experiences
Training & Workshops
The ISS Media Center provides free workshops to familiarize LSA students, faculty and staff with the equipment and software available at our facility. The following descriptions cover some of the workshops we provide. For more complete information about these workshops, please email lsa-iss-media@umich.edu.
Editing Suite Orientations
Orientations are 30 minutes long and cover the basic information needed to gain access to the Media Center's Edit Rooms. These orientations are designed for first-time users that are already familiar with the multimedia software installed in these rooms. Software applications are not taught in these orientations. For a list of software available in the editing suites, please view our Audio Visual Editing Suites page.
Workshops for LSA Courses
For LSA faculty requiring media-based projects in their courses, the Media Center can design workshops geared specifically to course needs. Whether your students require introductory or advanced training, we can help. Course related workshops can be scheduled during the time your class regularly meets. We strongly suggest that you contact us well before the beginning of the term to ensure that we can provide a workshop for your class.
For more information concerning ISS Media Center workshops email lsa-iss-media@umich.edu.
