Areas of Study

The Frankel Center for Judaic Studies’ curriculum incorporates coursework in three focus areas: Modern Jewish Literatures & Cultures, History & Politics, and Rabbinics & Religious Thought. Judaic Studies faculty come from many of the University of Michigan’s humanities and social science departments and programs and cluster based on their intellectual interests. Undergraduate and graduate students receive an education that reflects both the diversity of UM’s campus and the Jewish Studies field.
