Ludwig Meidner
One of the largest programs of its type, the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures offers programs in German Studies, Dutch and Flemish Studies, and Scandinavian Studies as well as providing academic support to the University of Michigan’s Yiddish Studies.
An interdisciplinary program, Germanic Languages and Literature faculty hold degrees in a wide range of fields and actively collaborate with faculty in departments spread throughout the University. The department allows students to pursue bachelor, masters and doctoral degrees as well as academic minors and certifications.
