Slavic Studies

Offering a multidisciplinary approach to language studies, the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures awards undergraduate and graduate degrees to students interested in Russian, Polish, Czech, Bosnian-Serbo-Croatian and Ukrainian. The Department’s nationally known and highly regarded focus on Russian literature and culture is complimented by strengths in Polish and Czech studies as well as Jewish-Slavic cultural contacts. The latter is supported jointly with the Frankel Center for Judaic Studies.
