The Jewish Table:
A Special Exhibit from the Jewish Heritage Collection Dedicated to David and Mark Harris
202 S. Thayer Building, Room 2000

For Jews ritual observance is anchored not only in the synagogue, but in the home as well. At the heart of the home is the table. It is the site of food preparation and everyday meals. It is the site of Shabbat and Holidays. It is the site of conversation, debate, discussion and reconciliation. This exhibit, organized by graduate student Lindsay Stern, utilizes illustrated haggadot and objects from the Jewish Heritage Collection to explore the life that surrounds and infuses the Jewish table
