Many events of interest to both the academic community and the general public happen in (or are sponsored by) the Kelsey Museum. Such events include special exhibitions inspired by objects in the Museum's collections, lectures on archaeological topics, and Family Days that offer children an opportunity to learn about the ancient world. These events appear on the Kelsey calendar.

The Kelsey Museum Newsletter, published twice a year, presents short illustrated articles on current exhibitions, research by Museum staff and University of Michigan students, and summaries of fieldwork sponsored by the Museum. The Newsletter archive goes back to 1999.
