  • Date: 09/27/2011
  • Time: 09:00PM - 10:00PM

  • Location: Couzens Hall, Multi-Purpose Room

  • Description: The “Improv Club” explores motion and interaction through improvisational acting. There is no memorizing or direction, simply human action and reaction. There is no acting or performance experience required, either. In a relaxed and casual setting, learn to use your creativity spontaneously to make vivid dramatic or comedic scenes. Also explore what is funny by playing short-form comedy games like those seen on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” From exercises to full scenes, you will see your own thoughts come to life, and you will have fun doing it. The club will be as flexible and spontaneous as improv itself—bring your own ideas or exercises to the table and work with the group. Finally, the club will also focus, in part, on public speaking and personal presentation. Tuesdays, 9:00 – 10:00 p. m. – Multi-Purpose Room or Palmer Lounge Aaron Handsman, ahands@umich.edu
