  • Description:

This is a HSSP and LHSP sponsored tea with Gerald Shea,  author of the recently published, Song without Words:  Discovering my Deafness Halfway through Life. It's a memoir by this remarkable man who became quite though not totally deaf at age 6 yet did not discover his deafness until his late thirties.  His personal story of living unaware of his significant disability yet making accommodations through the rest of his childhood, and then through college, law school, and a demanding career as an international corporate lawyer is very compelling.
