On Saturday, October 6th, Fiction Writers Review and the University of Michigan's MFA Program in Creative Writing will celebrate Michigan's great writers and the state's enduring literary traditions by declaring Michigan "The State of the Book." They will do so by co-hosting a day-long series of public events in Rackham Auditorium showcasing the state's leading literary stars, as well as the next generation of Michigan writers.

Events include a Book Fair, open from 10am until 7pm in Rackham Lobby, ongoing presentations and panels from 10am until 8:30pm in Rackham Auditorium, and a Keynote Conversation with novelist Charles Baxter and former Poet Laureate Philip Levine at 7pm.

LHSP joins in the game:  At 10:30 am Saturday morning, Charles Baxter will visit LHSP for coffee and discussion, 1st floor, Alice Lloyd Hall, in the open area across from the Living Room. Do drop by!
