Here's the latest on a few Michigan Linguistics alums:
- Hamid Ouali, PhD '06, just received tenure at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Linguistics Department. He also recently published his first book, Agreement, Pronominal Clitics and Negation in Tamazight Berber: A Unified Analysis, a revision of his PhD thesis.
- Damon Tutunjian just started a two-year post-doc at the Lund University Humanities Lab, in Lund, Sweden. He will work with Marianne Gullberg on online sentence processing in mono- and bilinguals.
- Anna Babel has started a tenure-track position in the Ohio State University's Department of Spanish & Portuguese, in their Hispanic Linguistics Program. She will be an adjunct professor in the OSU Linguistics Department.
- An article about U of M Linguistics graduate John Hartmann (now a professor in the Northern Illinois University Foreign Languages Department) recently appeared in the Northern Illinois Univerisity paper. The article mentions three other U of M grads, all now NIU professors:

- Patricia Henry
- Theodora Bofman
