Tim Chou

Over the summer, three students successfully defended their dissertations and received their PhD.

Tim Chou successfully defended his dissertation, Phi-Agree, A-movement, and Complementizer-Tense Relations in Chinese, on June 6th, 2013. Tim's advisors were Sam Epstein and Acrisio Pires. Tim has begun a post-doctoral position in The Department of Chinese as a Second Language, National Taiwan Normal University.

David Medeiros successfully defended his dissertation, Formal Approaches to the Morphological Imperative, on June 20, 2013. David's advisors were also Sam Epstein and Acrisio Pires. David is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Linguistics Department at Carleton College.

Jon Yip successfully defended his dissertation, Linguistic Effects on the Timing of Gestural Coordination in Modern Greek CC Sequences, on August 7th, 2013. Jon's advisor was Pam Beddor. Jon begins a position as a post-doctoral researcher in the Linguistics Department at the University of Hong Kong in October.
