Jon Brennan attended the 18th International Conference on Biomagnetism, held in Paris at the end of August. At this meeting, he presented on some of his joint work with Bill Gaetz and Tim Roberts, both colleagues of Jon's from the time that he spent as a post-doc at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The title of their presentation was "Beamforming (in)sensitivity to correlated sources as a connectivity diagnostic". Jon describes the research as follows: "[w]e develop a new technique for quantifying how 'connected' a particular brain region is independent of any prior hypothesis of what other regions it may be connected with". The full abstract of their presentation is available here.
