The Linguistics Department was awarded a $45,000 grant from the Rackham Graduate School as part of Rackham's Faculty Allies for Diversity program. This the second year that the Department was awarded a grant from this Rackham program,  which is aimed at increasing and maintaining diversity in graduate programs at the University. The majority of this year's grant will be used to create fellowships for undergraduates to attend the 2013 LSA Linguistics Institute hosted by our Department next summer. Details will be made available once the registration for the Institute opens in early 2013.
