For the fourth year in a row, a team from the United States coached by the University of Michigan's Drago Radev took the gold trophy in the Individual Team contest at the International Linguistics Olympiad.
In addition to the team gold, individual US team members won 1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze and 5 honorable mentions.
The IOL competition tests high school students' abilities against some of the world's toughest linguistic puzzles and problems.
You can try your own hand at some of them. Good luck!
